The Cyrus Audio AV Master 8.0 is a sophisticated, configurable 7.1 channel AV system amplifier. It includes a 7.1 channel preamplifier, up-sampling multi input DAC and 3 channels of user configurable power amplification - all within one of Cyrus' trademark, half-width, precision die-cast, magnesium alloy chassis. The 3 channels of amplification can be user configured to fit perfectly into whatever system you are running. The beauty of this flexible approach is that you can assign the amplifier channels to fit whatever system design you have today, and they can be reassigned if you choose to upgrade your system tomorrow. Existing 2 channel Cyrus customers can simply add the AV Master 8.0 to give them a state-of-the-art 5.1 AV system, with the option to upgrade in stages all the way to 7.1.
Cyrus have incorporated the latest dual core 32bit DSP (the surround sound processing engine) from world leaders in DSP, Cirrus Logic (no relation). This sophisticated new DSP engine and Cyrus' 2 x up-sampling technology allows them to raise the audio performance of AV to true Cyrus quality standards.
Another very useful feature is AV Master's ability to upgrade all connected digital sources. It will up-sample the linear PCM audio input from all your other digital equipment, such as PVRs, DAB radio and, of course, DVD soundtracks, upgrading each to Cyrus quality.
Because Cyrus know the AV Master will be incorporated into some of their most advanced Cyrus audio systems, they have included a Stereo bypass feature that connects the high quality output from, for instance, a CD 8, directly to the power amps. This feature will, they believe, convince many system designers to use the AV Master as a high quality preamp in even the most sophisticated system.
The Easy Set-up Wizard makes installation simple by taking you through some straightforward settings that will match your AV Master's settings to your room. This quick process will allow the AV Master to steer the surround sound around your room much more accurately.
Another essential feature is lip-sync, that will prove invaluable if you have a flat panel TV. Many TVs now include so much processing of the video signal that the picture appears behind the audio. The AV Master has a continuously variable adjustment to match the audio to the picture, thereby correctly synchronising the audio and the picture.
